There lived 2 sisters once- older one was Jennifer who was 15 years of age and the younger one, 12 years old was named Serah. Jennifer was quieter and a well behaved girl, however Serah was extremely naughty.
One cold night when Serah & Jennifer were having their dinner with their parents, they were so sleepy that they quickly gobbled their food and both of them went to bed in their bedroom. Suddenly, Serah heard some scary & strange noises.
Serah: Jennif…fer wake up, can you h…eeeear some noise?
Jennifer: (In sleepy voice) Serah please let me sleep..
Serah: I think there is someone at the door. We should go outside & check.
Jennifer: No Serah! It’s late now. It could be a stranger and we shouldn’t go out alone. And pllleeease let me sleep.
Serah with a sigh! Ok Jennifer Good Night!
After some time Serah heard the same noises again. This time she shouted.
Serah: Jennifer, please wake up. I am irritated now. Shall I go alone and check or will you come outside with me?
Jennifer: Got up a little worried now. No Serah wait, I will come along!
They both went outside in the garden area, switched on the lights and started looking.
Jennifer: See Serah didn’t I tell you? There is nobody here.. Let’s go back and sleep.
Then suddenly, Jennifer heard something- Mmmmmmmhhhhh.. as if someone is sobbing.
Serah: There, did you hear this noise Jennifer? Someone is crying!
Jennifer: Yes Serah you are right. I heard it too. Let’s keep looking.
In sometime, Serah saw a lever like handle coming out on the floor, right behind the tree and she pulled it.
Serah: Woowwww! Jennifer come see what’s this?
Jennifer: What’s this? Is this our garden? How come we have never seen this before?
Serah: It seems like a secret underground tunnel Jennifer and it just opened when I pulled this lever here. Let’s go inside.
Jennifer: Yes, I can see something shining. Come let’s go down from these stairs.
They both were curious and feeling excited about exploring this new tunnel that they discovered and they kept going down into the basement. After a few minutes, they reached a silent place filled with gold coins, jewels and so many gold ornaments all around. It was also well lit up and this place surprisingly was also smelling of Roses. When they looked around they saw so many flowers, So they started walking further and they reached a giant black castle covered with thorns all around.
Serah: Jennifer..Where are we? Is this some kind of a magic wonderland?
Jennifer: Yes Serah, this does look like a magical place.
Serah knocked on the door of the castle and said- “Is anyone there? Please open the door.”
Crreeeeeeeeeeeeee.. The door opened on its own! They both walked inside.
Jennifer: Who is it? Who is it? Who is it? Who is it….?
Is anyone there? Is anyone there? Is anyone there? Is anyone there?
Her voice kept echoing and they continued to walk inside….
Serah: What’s this Jennifer? I can hear the same noise again. Can you too?
Jennifer: Yes that’ right. It’s coming from there- pointing upwards. Come let’s go. When they climbed up to the next floor in the castle, they saw a lady crying.
Serah: Hey what happened? Who are you and why are you crying?
Lady: I am a Witch named Katie, and am crying because I am all alone here. I have no friends.
Jennifer: Alone as in? Are you the only one who lives here? What is this place?
Katie: This is ‘Magic Land’ and yes, I live here in this Magical Castle all alone.
Serah: But why are you all alone? Where are others?
Katie: There are some people here in ‘Magic Land’. I hexed them with my magical wand. They got very angry with me and so they left this side of the ‘Magic Land’ leaving me all alone.
Serah: Oh that’s too bad. But what you did was also not right.
Katie: I know and I regret it very much.
Jennifer: But Katie, did you try speaking to the people? Did you apologize to them?
Katie: I have tried a million times to approach them but they run away the moment they see me coming. They actually hate me!
Katie sobbing again..
Jennifer: Serah just come out with me- I need to talk to you.
Katie is really sad and has realized her mistake. Let’s try to help her. Also, I see that this place is so beautiful but there is so much of sadness.
Serah: Yes that’s right! But how can we help her?
Jennifer: Let’s organize a play day and call all the people.
They went to Katie and told her about the plan and they all leave to go to the other side of the Magic Land.
Jennifer and Serah then introduce themselves to the people of Magic Land, requested them to assemble at the central place to participate in the play day. People got very excited and came along.
Jennifer: Thank you all of you for coming here today. As we promised we are going to have some fun and will play games. But before that let me share that this plan has been prepared by Katie- the witch.
Person 1: Don’t talk about her. She is a witch and she has troubled us a lot. None of us speak to her and you too please stay away.
Serah: Yes, you are right. Katie is a witch and yes, she has made mistakes but do you know how she is now?
Jennifer: Please listen to us! Katie has been extremely miserable. She has been crying for days & nights in her castle all alone. She is suffering and is regretting all that she did to you all.
Listening to this, all the people were shocked and quiet.
Serah: Today, the reason why we requested you all to come and listen to us is so that we can gift you the friendship of Katie because she deserves a second chance.
Jennifer: Katie, come on, come here and talk to all these people.
Katie: (Hesitatingly) I am very sorry for my actions. Please will you forgive me and accept my friendship?
Katie broke down into tears falling down on her knees.
Person 2: Yes, Katie we will forgive you but promise us that you will use your magical powers only to help people.
Katie: I promise!
Katie then turned to Jennifer and Serah and hugged them!
Katie: Thank You so much you both for your kindness and help.
Serah: Katie, it’s alright! Today, you have taught me a lesson. We should always be kind to everyone and care for people.
All the people along with Katie played games and then waved Good Bye to Jennifer & Serah.
Katie gifted a handful of Gold Jewels & gem to her new friends. Jennifer & Serah returned to their home and said Good Night to each other with a smile on their face.
Magic Land now was no more the sad place it was, but had turned into the magical place with love, job & laughter.
